LVP stairs start around $175 per step all-in, separate from flat-floor pricing. Each step needs its own cuts, nosing, and finish details. We count and inspect your staircase, then put the material, standard removal, prep, installation, and cleanup into a written estimate.
Why Stairs Aren't Priced Per Square Foot
A stair has a tread, riser, and front edge that each need to be measured and finished. The work differs from a flat floor, so we price LVP stairs by the step after inspecting the staircase.
Our LVP stair starting price is around $175 per step for a standard closed staircase. Your written estimate confirms the step count, product, nosing, standard carpet removal, prep, installation, and cleanup for your staircase.

Box Steps
Fully wrapped step
LVP wraps around the entire step. The tread (top), the riser (front face), and the nosing (rounded front edge) are all covered with seamless plank. Looks custom-built and is our most refined finish.

Treads + Nosing
Flat plank + separate nosing piece
LVP plank cut to fit the top walking surface of each step, with a matching stair-nose piece installed at the front edge. Slightly more visible seam between tread and nosing. The style and nosing choice can change the written price.

* This is the per-step price. Your total depends on how many steps you have, whether the staircase is open or closed, and the style you pick. We count the steps and give you the exact number during your free in-home estimate.

LVP material
Same LVP you picked for your main floor. Matched style and color.
Treads + risers
Both the top walking surface and the vertical face between steps.
Nosing pieces
The rounded front edge of each step. Included with both styles.
Carpet removal
We rip out and haul away the existing stair carpet and padding.
Glue & adhesive
Adhesive selected for the product and stair construction.
Cleanup
All staples pulled, nail holes filled, dust cleaned up.
The ~$175 per-step price is for standard closed staircases. Curved or spiral stairs, or open-side staircases (where the side of each step shows) run higher per step and get a custom quote. For hardwood install or refinishing on stairs, fill out the form or contact us for pricing. Either way, you get the exact price before any work starts.
